Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) welcomes millions of tourists to Indonesia’s most popular island. While Indonesia has smoking restrictions in public spaces, the airport maintains designated smoking areas in both the domestic and international terminals.
Smoking Area Locations
International Terminal
The smoking area in the international terminal is on the second floor of the departure area. After clearing immigration and security, look for gates 4-7 - the smoking room is located in this area, specifically near gate 5 in the departure waiting zone.
Domestic Terminal
For domestic flights, the smoking area is on the third floor of the departure terminal. This serves passengers flying to other Indonesian destinations like Jakarta, Surabaya, or Lombok.
Finding the Smoking Rooms
Both smoking areas are indoors in the departure zones. Head toward gates 4-7 in either terminal and look for the designated smoking room. The areas are clearly marked with signage in both Indonesian and English.
Outside Terminal Areas
You can also smoke in designated outdoor areas near the terminal entrances. However, most smokers prefer the indoor rooms since Bali’s tropical heat and humidity can be intense.
About Bali Airport
