Looking for a place to smoke at Fukuoka Airport? Fukuoka Airport (FUK) has designated smoking rooms in both its domestic and international terminals, following Japan’s standard airport smoking policies.
Smoking Rooms at Fukuoka Airport
Fukuoka Airport has smoking rooms available throughout its terminals. Like most Japanese airports, smoking is only permitted in designated enclosed smoking rooms (喫煙室) equipped with proper ventilation systems.
Terminal Structure
Domestic Terminal comprises three interconnected buildings:
Terminal 1: Serves JAL and Skymark
Terminal 2: Serves ANA and Solaseed Air
Terminal 3: Serves other domestic carriers
International Terminal is located in a separate building across the runway, connected to the domestic terminal by a free shuttle bus. The expanded international terminal fully opened on March 28, 2025.
Finding Smoking Rooms
Smoking rooms are available on multiple floors of each terminal. Due to recent construction and expansion work, some locations may have changed. Check the official Fukuoka Airport terminal map at fukuoka-airport.jp for current floor-by-floor facility locations.
Tips for Smokers
Look for 喫煙室 (smoking room) signs throughout the terminals
All smoking rooms are fully enclosed with ventilation systems
Allow extra time if using the international terminal - it’s across the runway
The airport has undergone major expansion in 2024-2025, so verify locations on arrival
