Looking for smoking areas at Paine Field (Seattle Paine Field International Airport)? This award-winning small airport in Everett, Washington follows strict Washington State smoking regulations, with designated outdoor areas available for smokers.
Smoking Policy at Paine Field
Paine Field is a completely smoke-free facility indoors. Under Washington State’s Smoking in Public Places Law (RCW 70.160), smoking is prohibited in all indoor public places and within 25 feet of entrances, exits, windows, and ventilation intakes.
Where You Can Smoke
Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor areas located outside the passenger terminal. You must be at least 25 feet away from any building entrance, exit, open window, or ventilation intake. Look for designated smoking areas with proper signage and cigarette disposal receptacles.
The outdoor smoking areas are accessible from the terminal’s curbside pickup and drop-off zones. These areas are available 24/7.
Important: No Smoking After Security
There are no smoking facilities inside the terminal or past the TSA security checkpoint. If you need to smoke after clearing security, you’ll need to exit the secure area, use the outdoor smoking areas, and then go through the security screening process again. Factor in extra time if you plan to do this.
